Essay Introduction It is universally recognised that cultures vary significantly across the globe; the variations of cultures may pose underlying effects to the operations of modern business in context of further progression of globalisation. To understand culture differences to a greater extent, the definition of culture needs to be clarified; Greet Hofstede (1994, p.1) defines it as ââ¬Ëthe collective programming of the mind which distinguishes the members of one category from anotherââ¬â¢. Therefore, it implies that people from different cultural backgrounds could have distinct behaviours and reactions even in the same situation. Thus, understanding the culture differences may be critical for conducting effective and efficient communications in multinational business management.
